Cleveland Alliance Club in conjunction with the Campus and Alumni Relations Department will be bringing Counselor Amy Maragos to campus on Friday, July 13th to speak about the very serious subject of suicide.
Suicide can affect our lives in ways large and small. The loss of a celebrity or public figure, to a personal loss of a friend or family member, or even the loss of a patient. Knowing the signs and identifying your role as a doctor and a caregiver can help you save lives.
Amy is a Masters level Counselor with a focused clinical area of interest being suicide. She will be giving a presentation that contains an overview of suicide and assessing for suicide in the clinical setting. There will be a presentation at 11:30 a.m. in room 3111. If that fills, there will be a second, identical presentation at 12:30 p.m. in the same room. This is open to EVERYONE on campus and we encourage as many to attend that can. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by July 9th to [email protected]
or on the Cleveland Alliance Club Fb group page so we can ensure we have enough food.
