Story: After building a costume around a wheelchair of his 3-year-old son, Lon Davis saw the powerful impact it had. The costume changed his son's outlook on life — raising his self-esteem and his peers began to see him as just another kid with an incredible Halloween costume. Lon wanted to share that experience with other families and Walkin' & Rollin' Costumes was born. In 2015, Walkin’ & Rollin’ Costumes was formed as a non-profit organization designed to build Halloween costumes for kids in walkers and wheelchairs, free of charge to the families. It continues to grow and expand its reach, adding mini-franchises to scale the number of children and families it can impact.
