You've most likely seen this dude (yes, he's 21) hanging at our bar — probably typing on a laptop or checking his cell phone. Well, we are super pumped for our friend, Aaron Ogilvie, and pumped to host the first KC Rollout Party for his brewery, Double Shift Brewing Company. Come help us welcome another local brewery to our tap wall and enjoy these Double Shift brews:
River Pirate Oatmeal Stout
The first stout we ever brewed at Double Shift, River Pirate is inspired by a love of classic American hops and traditional oatmeal stouts. River Pirate exhibits a dark chocolate, freshly roasted coffee aroma with qualities restrained bitterness from the addition of Horizon hops at all stages of the boil.
Tessellation Mosaic IPA
This beer is everything we love about IPA's: heavy on the whirlpool, dry hopped with Cryo Mosaic, and clean enough to allow the Mosaic to be at the forefront. Tessellation is a vibrant, highly drinkable IPA exhibiting a huge tropical fruit aroma, and floral notes of berry, mango and citrus.
Tin Foil Hat Farmhouse Ale
Tin Foil is just as much a nod to the provisional farmhouses style of Europe as it is new school. Utilizing oats, we created a fuller body, with rye it produces a complex herbal spice character and hoped using pleasant Loral hops, this farmhouse exhibits a yeast-driven character, complimented by every step of the brewing process.
Sister Abby Belgian-style Dubbel
Yeast-forward with a malty, sweet backbone, Sister Abby is a classic. Unlike some dubbels, we restrain a bit of Abby's yeast character allowing a complex malt body to shine through, in addition to a heavy-handed addition of Mandarina Bavaria on the tail-end of the brewing process
