Two of America’s most successful and critically acclaimed rock bands, Chicago and REO Speedwagon, bring their co-headline North American summer tour to Starlight Theatre on Wednesday, June 27.
Fans will be treated to a night filled with a deep catalog of hits from both bands, which have sold more than 140 million records combined.
In planning a show unlike any other they’ve done before, Chicago will perform the historic album Chicago II in its entirety, followed by the “world’s longest encore” of their greatest hits. 2018 marks Chicago’s 51st straight year of touring. The first American rock band to chart Top 40 albums in six consecutive decades, Chicago was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
REO Speedwagon plans to electrify audiences with fan-favorite hits such as “In Your Letter,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Time for Me to Fly,” “Keep on Loving You” and more. Fronted by lead vocalist Kevin Cronin since 1972, REO Speedwagon has also toured non-stop for decades. The band’s explosive 1980 album, Hi Infidelity, spent 15 weeks atop the Billboard charts and went on to earn the RIAA’s coveted 10x Diamond Award for surpassing U.S. sales of 10 million units.
