Worldwide pop superstar Charlie Puth has announced his biggest North American tour to date. “The Voicenotes Tour” begins in Toronto in mid-July 2018 and travels to 32 cities, including a stop at Starlight Theatre on Thursday, Aug. 9. Puth, a multi-platinum artist, musician and producer will be joined on all tour dates by fellow multi-platinum recording artist Hailee Steinfeld.
The tour celebrates Puth’s highly anticipated new album, VOICENOTES, due from Atlantic Records in 2018. The album is preceded by the current smash single, “How Long,” which Puth will perform live on the season finale of NBC’s “The Voice” on Dec. 19 and on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.” Vanity Fair named it one of “The 17 Best Pop Songs of 2017.”
Released in October, the single “How Long” arrived on the heels of Puth’s summer’s blockbuster single, “Attention.” The RIAA-platinum-certified “How Long” reached No. 5 on Billboard’s “Hot 100,” making it Puth’s third consecutive Top 10 hit and highest-charting solo track to date.
Hailed as an energetic and electrifying live performer, Puth spent much of the early winter stealing the show on the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour. Along with his worldwide popularity, he is among the most honored new artists. Puth’s many accolades include a Teen Choice Award, two Billboard Music Awards, a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award, and Grammy and Golden Globe nominations.
The tour’s special guest is Republic Records’ recording artist Hailee Steinfeld, who has cemented herself as a rising force in pop music since her 2015 platinum-certified debut single “Love Myself,” double-platinum-selling “Starving” with Grey and platinum-selling summer anthem “Most Girls.” In 2017, Steinfeld took home honors at the MTV EMAs, Billboard Music Awards and Variety’s inaugural Hitmakers event. She recently released a new single, “Let Me Go,” recorded with country music’s Florida Georgia Line.
