In this six week beginner series you will learn about the fundamentals of Yoga in a non-judgemental environment with others who are curious to learn, too.
We will Explore:
* Basic Yoga Posures, (asanas)
* Yoga Breathing, (pranayama)
* Anatomy for a safe practice
* Basic Ethics of Yoga, (yamas)
* Simple Meditation practice,
* Overview of the Chakras, (energy points in the body)
This six week series runs from Wednesday, September 13th through Wednesday, October 18th. We will meet from 7pm — 8:30 each Wednesday.
Cost for the series is $65. Wear comfortable clothes. You may bring your own mat or use one at the stuido.
Ideally you should be able to get up and down off the floor. If not, you may still benefit from the dicusssion and lecture portion of this series, and you may do some of the postures seated in a chair. All are welcome!
