Gosh, nothing against parents or anything, but wouldn’t being an orphan — at least as it’s portrayed in 1982’s ANNIE — be soooo cool? Spending your days performing choreographed cleaning dances while singing “It’s a Hard Knock Life,” only to be whisked away by Daddy Warbucks (the great Albert Finney) to his huge mansion? Well, it’s probably too late to get a do-over on your childhood and we’re guessing that real orphan life would be far less fun. BUT, you *can* come live out your all-singing, all-dancing ANNIE orphan fantasies at our interactive Movie Party presentation.
Ol’ ANNIE continues to shine like the top of the Chrysler building as a musical classic. Here’s your chance to fall in love all over again with that spunky redhead (played by the irresistible Aileen Quinn) and her trusty dog, Sandy. From the deliciously awful Miss Hannigan (Carol Burnett) to the taciturn and towering Punjab (Geoffrey Holder), this film is studded with stellar performances and show-stopping numbers, and you can bet your bottom dollar we'll be singing along to all of them! Plus props like flashlights and cleaning rags (of course) to bring the party to life!
