Heartland Conservation Alliance will be hosting Green Drinks KCof Greater Kansas City this July 27, 6:00pm. Emily Joy Millerr with Fresh Farm HQ Cooperative Association and John Gordon Jr. with Boys Grow will be presenting on why local food is so important and how it is distributed. They'll also cover the use of Agro-forestry in the local food chain.
Green Drinks of Greater Kansas City is a monthly gathering of people either working or interested in environmental sustainability. The key to Green Drinks is to network and share. Most people who attend Green Drinks meetings come away with something from the event whether it be educational or social.
Through the work of our Partnership Work Group, HCA is partnering with Green Drinks of Greater KC to offer a regular venue for conservation-related organizations and HCA partners to catch up, hear what others are doing, and learn the latest on some of HCA's projects and conservation efforts, all in a laid back setting.
The HCA Green Drinks will occur the first month of each quarter (with May being the exception) and will include time on the agenda for partner updates. There's a lot going on in KC around conservation and we hope you can join us!
