Each month on the Final Friday, Parkville Pres hosts a free community concert designed to bring people together and promote beauty. On July 28th, join us for «Created to Creator/God to Humanity: the Spiritual Landscape of Myths and Hymns.»
At the end of the last millennium, promising young Broadway composer Adam Guettel, grandson of Richard Rogers, used a 19th century Presbyterian Hymnal and a copy of Edith Hamiliton's Mythology to explore the emotional spectrum of post-modern spirituality. From the desire to transcend earthly bounds, to our deeper need to connect with someone or something greater than ourselves… Join the young members of PPC's choral apprentice program in an evening with this astonishingly vulnerable and uncomfortably real modern musical theater masterpiece!
Food and fellowship to follow.
