to close 1st of their 3 events with iconic band, The Suburbs
Kansas City, MO — On July 8th, MusicMakers Workshop closes the first of three music business education workshops with a concert featuring the iconic Minneapolis band, The Suburbs. The ground-breaking New Wave Band will be touring to promote their new original album “Hey Muse!”. The concert will be held at Recordbar.
Founded in 1977, The Suburbs are recognized worldwide as among the original heroes of the “Minneapolis Sound”; a historic music era that saw the emergence of other artists, including The Suicide Commandos, Prince, The Replacements, and Hüsker Dü.
“MusicMakers teaches best practices for music business and obviously, a group that has lasted in this business for forty years is an excellent example of how to do it right. We’re thrilled to have them be part of this event.” says Jennifer White, Director.
MusicMakers Workshop will launch the first of their 3-day music career development events in Kansas City on July 6th. The event will feature keynote speeches and panel discussions on branding, marketing, booking, publishing, copyright law, health, and teamwork. Break-out sessions allow attendees to work on their personal strategy with guidance from successful industry mentors.
