PLUG Projects presents TerraForm, an exhibition featuring artists Alexandra Phillips, Caleb Taylor, and Gillian Tobin. Originating within the realm of science fiction, the term terraform refers to the theoretical alteration of a planet’s atmosphere in order to support and sustain life. Literally translated to earth shaping, this act of repurposing through careful restructuring allows for the organic to thrive. The sculptures, paintings, and collages in TerraForm seek a deeper analysis of these modifications performed by humans through methods of architecture, excavation, and language.
