Be sure to make time to visit the Lee’s Summit Historical Museum in June to view the amazing works created by the Rambling River Art Quilters. This quilting guild has been creating incredible works of art since 2002. The quilts on exhibit are the results of an annual challenge presented to the group with one year to complete the work. Many of the challenges made have been shown in national shows and have won various prizes.
In addition to the exhibit there will be quilts for sale. 20% of the proceeds from the quilt sales will go to the Lee’s Summit Historical Museum.
The Quilters Exhibit will be open during regular museum business hours in June starting on June 8th (Thursday & Friday, 10am – 2pm. Saturdays, 10am – 4pm) and during Downtown Lee’s Summit’s Fourth Friday, June 23, 5-8pm. The museum is located at 220 SW Main Street. For more information call 816.363.9718
