Two of America’s most successful and critically acclaimed rock bands will co-headline a Northern American tour in summer 2017. Chicago and The Doobie Brothers, who have sold more than 150 million records combined, will share the stage in 30+ cities, including a night at Starlight Theatre on Tuesday, June 20.

Ready to celebrate their 50th anniversary as a band in 2017, Chicago was honored to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year. The first American rock band to chart Top 40 albums in six decades, Chicago’s accomplishments include 21 Top 10 singles, five consecutive No. 1 albums, 11 No. 1 singles and five Gold singles. Twenty-five of Chicago’s 36 albums have been certified platinum, and the band’s total record sales exceed 100 million. In 2014, their album Chicago Transit Authority was inducted into the Grammy® Hall of Fame.

Interest in Chicago continues to be strong. On New Year’s Day 2017, a new documentary on the band, Now More Than Ever: The History of Chicago, premiered on CNN. And, on Jan. 27, a remastered version of the classic Chicago II album – Chicago II: Steven Wilson Remix – will go on sale to the public.

Joining Chicago on tour are The Doobie Brothers, who have created roots-based, harmony-laden, guitar-driven rock and roll for more than four decades. Collecting four Grammy Awards and sales of 48 million albums along the way, the Doobies continue to write and record new material. Southbound, their latest studio album, was released in November 2014 and features new recordings of the band’s biggest hits with country music stars including Blake Shelton, Zac Brown Band, Brad Paisley and Toby Keith. The Doobies have two No. 1 singles, “Black Water” (1974) and “What a Fool Believes” (1979) and a rich, deep catalog that includes such hits as “Listen to the Music,” “Jesus is Just Alright,” “Rockin’ Down the Highway” and many more.
